I always believe that customer service should extend beyond the point of purchase. I painted this seascape about 2 years ago and sold it soon after. When I first started painting, I didn’t use to color the sides of the canvas. When my customer mention to me that she hung this painting above her bed and that she really wish the first thing she saw when she wakes up is not the white borders but the extension of the sea and sand, I told her I’ll fix it for her. I’m relieved that I could still match the colors, shades and textures and I’m really happy with the final result. It’s times like this that i wish I own a lazy Susan or a pottery wheel so I can take a more decent video footage of the sides of the canvas.
